日本の左官職人の道具、「鏝板」の表面をドイツで開発されたコーティング技術で仕上げました。
鏝板の模様は、真鍮でコーティングする際に、「金鏝」で材料を伸ばしたときに出来たものです。
真鍮、青銅の本物の金属の経年変化を楽しむことが出来ます。
I finished the surface of a hawk, a tool used by Japanese plasterers, using a coating technique developed in Germany.
The patterns on the hawk were created when I applied the brass coating with a metal trowel.
This work enables you to enjoy the changes that real brass and bronze go through over time as the metals age.
